Shiv Patel, M.D.
Dr. Shiv Patel is a Florida native who takes pride in providing thoughtful, thorough, and compassionate care. He earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University in North Carolina before attending medical school at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He subsequently completed General Surgery internship and Urologic Surgery residency at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Dr. Patel practiced with a large multispecialty group in Melbourne, Florida for three years prior to joining Anne Arundel Urology.
Dr. Patel treats a broad range of general urologic conditions of both men and women. He has special interest in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stone disease, and urologic malignancy. He has extensive experience in the most current and minimally invasive approaches for the treatment of enlarged prostate, including prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Additionally, he is highly skilled in the noninvasive and endoscopic treatment of kidney stones.
In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling, and exploring new places with his wife and twin sons.
